Chez la Fontaine is located on the outskirts of the village of Gefosse - Fontenay , a rural village with only 115 inhabitants . The village has many beautiful manors , and there is even a castle to find . Opposite Chez la Fontaine is ' Le Lavoir "the old village laundry ' La Fontaine ' ( source ) . Hemelsbreed is the old farm just 500 meters from the coast . A walk to the beach takes about twenty minutes. On the coast at low tide the beaches and the oyster and mussel farms can be seen .

A few kilometers inland from the marshes of Cotentin and Bessin , home to beautiful flora and fauna . At about five miles from Chez la Fontaine the lovely fishing village of Grand -Maisy .
